Last February 24, 2013, I decided to try a new hairstyle. My friend told me to have big curls. I originally wanted the big curl thingy idea with hair deep dyed color at the bottom of my hair.
I saw Tony and Jackey at SM North Edsa, the one in the Annex Building and decided to try their digital perm and ombre. Ombre is like combining 2 to 3 hair dye colors that can create different tones in your hair.
Sarah was my Korean stylist. She did the treatment of my hair first then the perming afterwards. Sarah together with a Filipino staff put something on my hair like a cream then left it for 30 minutes. After the treatment for the perm, my hair was put under the big digital perm machine (some pictures are in the gallery). Next stop was the hair dye color, the ombre part. I asked Sarah if it's okay to have my hair dye right after the perming and she said that there's nothing to worry since they're using organic products so it's not harmful to the hair. I requested to have my hair some highlights on it and lighter color at the bottom. She chose ash brown for the base color and a lighter color for the combination. The overall process took for 3 hours.
I got the perm and treatment for 4,900.00 pesos (discounted price, the original price was around 9K plus I think), while the ombre was around 10,000.00 pesos but I got it at around 5,000.00 pesos only because of the 50% discount.
My overall experience in Tony was great. They were so friendly and accommodating. I like Sarah for being a great stylist. She knows a lot and knows what style could fit on you. The ambiance at the salon was very comfortable, waiting for my hair to be done was not boring at all. They provided me gadgets so I can watch any movies I like and surf the net.
My hair lasted for a year. The digiperm of T&J didn't fade easily. Photos below showing my experience at T&J Salon and also includes the photo of my curly hair after after a year.
